Kasey Cooper, a Junior Accounting major from Sumter, SC served as a pioneer intern with Deloitte in Charlotte, North Carolina. He completed a case study as a team-building activity with the other interns of the firm. Kasey was able to expand his knowledge of the tax system and learn more about audits. He shadowed individuals that worked in Multi-State Tax, Business Tax Services, and Global Employer Services. During this experience, he was able to learn more about doing tax returns for clients that work outside of the US. He observed debriefing sessions with clients. His final experience consisted of completing a culminating project with the other Interns, which centered on Deloitte’s Culture. Kasey will serve as a Discovery Intern in Tax during the summer of 2022.
