On Sunday, September 11, 2022, Benedict College students were provided the opportunity to participate in the JCPenney Suit-Up Event, which was held in person for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic. Held at the JCPenney at Village at Sandhill, many students from HBCUs across South Carolina participated in the shopping experience. These scholars were given the opportunity to obtain professional attire from name brand designers at a discounted price. Taking advantage of an “Up to 30%” discount provided many students, who may not have had the sufficient funds, the chance to still upgrade their wardrobe.
