On January 27, the inaugural cohort of the E4Carolinas HBCU Energy Leadership Pathway met at the Johnson C. Smith Innovation Tech Lab in Charlotte for their first development session. It featured a 5 team challenge with a group presentation and then a roundtable session with energy professionals.
The HBCU Energy Leadership Pathways is a collaboration between the historically black colleges and universities in the Carolinas and a wide variety of companies in the energy industry. The objective is to increase the number of students at the participating schools who train for and seek careers in the energy industry. The Pathway pilot began this semester with Benedict College, Johnson C. Smith University, North Carolina A&T University, and South Carolina State University.
