The UNCF Career Pathways Initiative is excited to introduce the Micro-Internship program in partnership with Parker Dewey

*Brought to you by the Benedict College Career Pathways Initiative*

Micro-Internships are virtual, short-term, paid, professional assignments available through national businesses and organizations! Benedict College students will gain real-world experience, explore career options, develop mentoring relationships, and generate income through these experiences. In addition, companies can identify talent, support recruiting initiatives, and hire students for permanent, full-time positions.

Here’s how it works:

Create your profile:
Visit the link at http://info.parkerdewey.com/uncf. Students click under the heading that reads “Gain Experience”. It takes less than five minutes and allows prospective employers to learn more about you. And while you can also include your resume, we strongly recommend you complete your profile fully. There are no costs or fees, and companies will not see you unless you first apply for their Micro-Internship.

See the projects:
Once your profile is complete, you can see all of the available Micro-Internships. Each will include the company name, a description of the assignment, when it is due, any other requirements, and how much you’ll be paid when it’s complete.

Apply:
While you can apply to most projects with a single click, many companies ask a question or two to learn more about you. They don’t take long to answer, but take them seriously – the companies do.

Get to work:
Once you’re selected, Parker Dewey will notify you with the client’s contact information and some additional tools to ensure you have a great experience. When the project is done, you’re paid directly by Parker Dewey. Even better, you now have another experience on your resume and contact in your network – you might even land an internship or job!
